As the countdown to the New Year’s Eve Party begins, the areas around Taipei City Hall and the Xinyi commercial district have been gorgeously decorated with various installations, Christmas trees, festive lights, and ongoing activities. On the night itself, the Taipei 101 fireworks and light show will create a uniquely festive atmosphere and warmth that is distinctly Taipei, drawing countless domestic and international visitors every year.

In terms of performances, the “natural diva” A-Lin will deliver concert-level vocals, rock legend Wu Bai will preview new tracks from his upcoming album, and beloved group 911 will present newly created stage content and song arrangements to get everyone dancing and celebrating the end of the year in high spirits. Other unforgettable superstars include SpeXial, 831, J. Zhou (周汤豪), Wu Sian (吴思賢), Amber An (安心亞), Kitty Yeh (愷樂), and GTM, all bringing Taipei’s unique warmth and energy to the crowd.

This year’s hosts are the “ultimate national treasure” duo of Jacky Tseng and Barbie Hsu, who will take the helm of the Taipei New Year’s Eve Party for the very first time. The event will also feature a mysterious guest who will use cutting-edge MR (Mixed Reality) technology to enhance the viewing experience of the Taipei 101 fireworks, making the 2017 New Year’s Eve celebration something truly fresh and exciting. Attendees are reminded to use public transportation where possible and to stay informed about traffic control measures during the event.
