On July 29, 2016, Narita Airport temporarily installed 190 gacha machines in collaboration with major toy manufacturer TAKARA TOMY for two months until the end of September. Due to its success and strong support from travelers, the gacha machine zone was reintroduced starting December 5, letting passengers use up every last bit of spare change. It’s a way to enjoy shopping in Japan right up to the final moment—leaving travelers fully satisfied and benefiting both the gacha vendors and Narita Airport. It’s a highly praised facility.
GACHA is the Japanese term ガチャ, meaning gacha (capsule toy).
It’s the shortened form of ガチャポン.

Additionally, Narita Airport’s official Facebook page officially launched on December 1, and it also announced the opening of “Air BICCAMERA” on the fourth floor of Terminal 2, giving travelers more convenient shopping options before boarding.
