Tsutaya Bookstore first became known to Taiwanese travelers with its opening in Daikanyama in the winter of 2011. This large-scale, multi-concept bookstore brings together books, movies, music, and other lifestyle themes favored by young people. Since its opening, it has not only become a highlight in Daikanyama but also attracted a large number of domestic and international visitors, even being named one of the world’s 20 most beautiful bookstores.
In Taiwan, Tsutaya Bookstore operates recruitment under the name "Taiwan Tiantian Card Marketing Co., Ltd." The Taipei branch of Tsutaya Bookstore also adopts the same "BOOK & CAFE" hybrid business model as in Japan. The CCC Group, to which Tsutaya Bookstore belongs, operates the loyalty program T-Point, which has 60 million members in Japan. Upon entering the Taiwanese market, it has partnered with Happy GO, enabling greater benefits from membership and point systems. With its opening in Taipei, Tsutaya Bookstore is expected to become a new cultural and leisure destination in the city.
