Temple Street Night Market is filled with many nostalgic Hong Kong street foods and preserves the lively atmosphere of old Hong Kong. Many head straight for the clay pot rice upon arriving, but right next to the long queue for that dish is the beef offal stall — Miu Kee Beef Offal — which is equally bustling. Many can’t wait to eat and simply turn right to try the authentic braised beef offal on the spot.

Chen Jialei described this “beef offal” in herTravel Editor’s Random Musings Diaryas looking very similar to Taiwan’s lu wei, adding, “But Hong Kong’s beef offal is pre-cooked and thoroughly braised, with super flavorful sauce soaked into the ingredients!” Unlike Taiwanese flavors, this version is saltier. She also highly recommended the unique Hong Kong-style “fried pork intestines,” emphasizing that they’re exceptionally delicious when dipped in mustard.
