This time, Scenic Spots will introduce a hidden gem for plum blossom viewing in Nantou’s Guoxing Township – the No. 7 Observation Deck at Jiufen’ershan. Jiufen’ershan experienced a massive landslide during the 921 Earthquake, and this area has since been developed into an earthquake memorial park. No. 7 Plum Village at Jiufen’ershan (Second Plum Blossom Viewing Area)
Transportation: Exit at the Beishan Interchange on National Freeway No. 6, enter Beishan Village, then head toward Nangang. Follow the signs to Jiufen’ershan. At the parking lot, turn right uphill to reach the epicenter, or turn left and follow the signs to get to the No. 7 Observation Deck. The drive from Beishan Interchange to Jiufen’ershan takes about 30 minutes.
