Qigu Salt Mountain is one of Tainan’s most famous must-see attractions. Every year, different large-scale installations are set up to challenge Taiwan’s largest artistic landscape, attracting a tourism boom. Following the fortune cat and the god of love, this year Qigu Salt Mountain has built a two-story-tall giant owl figure standing atop the salt mountain. In addition to its big eyes, warm color palette, and round body, the owl features LED dynamic lighting powered by solar panels installed in its eyes. At night, the glowing eyes make it look spirited and alert. Not only is it extremely cute, but it also showcases green energy and environmental protection, prompting visitors on-site to call it very healing.
