Budai Seaview Park in Chiayi was originally just an ordinary attraction, but ever since the new highlight – the Heel Church – was completed in 2016, it has become a wildly popular new hotspot across Taiwan. Whether for travel, dating, or taking photos to post on social media, Budai Seaview Park has transformed into the trendiest spot, even making appearances in various international news outlets. With the significant increase in visitor numbers, some locals have started to complain about the lack of surrounding facilities – to this day, even the restroom is a temporary structure made from shipping containers. In response, the Yunlin Forest District Office has decided to add a mall and public restrooms here, designed mainly in the shape of a dreamy castle, which undoubtedly complements the appearance of the Heel Church. The project is expected to be completed by the end of April, and upon completion, 12 shops will move in, selling locally produced agricultural specialties and souvenirs. In addition, the surrounding area will also feature six installations and two pavilions, providing visitors with a more complete travel environment.
