Spring is the season when flowers bloom in full splendor. Besides cherry blossoms, why not opt to admire a purple waterfall of flowers? In Tamsui District, New Taipei City, there is a Wisteria Café Garden — Taiwan’s only wisteria garden — and its stunning wisteria pergola is one of its most remarkable features. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of colorful blooms such as roses, angel’s trumpets, and purple irises. The three-thousand-ping garden and café seating area make the entire venue feel like Tamsui’s backyard garden. Another highlight of the garden is the presence of Taiwan’s largest Easter Island moai statues — four in total — which serve as a unique attraction amid the sea of flowers. Currently, the garden operates seasonally, so travelers looking to admire the flowers and take photos should seize the opportunity while they can.
