The Frozen Beauty of the Wilderness Mountains   Taiwan’s Magical High Mountain Wonders

Taiwan is situated between the subtropical and tropical monsoon climate zones. Owing to its relatively low latitude, snowfall is a rare occurrence, and records of snow in the plains are practically non-existent. The only opportunity to see such snowy scenes is during the coldest days of winter, by heading to high-altitude mountain regions like Yushan, Snow Mountain, and Hehuan Mountain. The Wuling Farm area is surrounded by many high mountains. Aside from the most popular Main-East Route of Snow Mountain, which starts here, many other peaks can also be accessed from Wuling Farm. Among these, the most classic route is the Wuling Four Beauties Traverse. The Wuling Four Beauties are four high mountains aligned along the northern edge of Wuling Farm. From west to east, they are: Pintian Mountain (3,524m), Chiyu Mountain (3,303m), Taoshan Mountain (3,325m), and Kalayeh Mountain (3,133m). During the cold winter months, these are spots where you can enjoy snowy vistas. The breathtaking frozen landscapes are truly astonishing, leaving hikers enchanted at first glance.
