Originally named “Bi Pond” (Green Pond), Taiwan Pond is famous for its resemblance to the shape of Taiwan Island. Its green waters are formed from snowmelt and rainwater accumulated during winter.A glacial lake formed over millennia,it is a naturally occurring lake.Hidden among the woods, serene and elegant, it glistens under the sun like a green gemstone. Given the moderate-to-easy difficulty level for climbing among the Hundred Peaks, this spot is suitable for general hikers and tourists alike to visit and enjoy this breathtaking view.
