Visitors pass through a sand sculpture gateway featuring a little girl symbolizing a fantasy world, entering a joyous carnival of a grand castle. The little girl, themed around the age of ten, represents the tenth anniversary of Fulong’s Golden Sand this year, with a total of 40 sculptures. The international sand sculpture competition area, themed "Heroes," features 20 works on display and invites 20 sand sculpture artists from 13 countries to join in the celebration (including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands, India, Japan, South Korea, etc.). The domestic sand sculpture competition, "The Treasure of the Golden Sand City – Local Charm," uses local elements as the theme content of the competition, aiming to showcase Taiwan’s local characteristics to the world through the creators’ ingenuity.

The sand sculpture activity originated in Europe and America, and sand sculpture works have even been found in the ancient Ganges River cultural beaches. Sand sculpture art emphasizes creativity, health, safety, teamwork, and environmental protection elements: contestants use lines to enclose a 3-meter square area on the beach, with tools being ordinary shovels and buckets, using only sand as the material—of course, adhesives are not allowed, and no decorations such as branches or plastics can be added to the works. After the competition, simply remove the lines, and the rest can return to nature along with the rising tide.
