Thanks to its distinctive geography, eastern Taiwan is home to many natural wonders. It faces the boundless Pacific Ocean to the east, is flanked by continuous mountain ranges to the north, and is marked by dramatic cliffs and valleys in between—each corner revealing stunning scenery. Following the golden trumpet tree avenue near Hualien Fuyuan Junior High School, a tunnel of explosively blooming golden trumpet trees has now emerged along the flood prevention road outside the Wuling Rehabilitation Center in Taitung. Around 300 to 400 golden trees have blossomed for the first time, shimmering between the mountains and greenery, creating a dazzling and moving sight. What’s more, these trees bloom right outside a rehabilitation center, adding a striking contrast of spring outside a prison—a surprising yet wildly popular new attraction.
