Classical architectural beauty and exquisitely crafted Japanese-style garden scenery not only preserve the traditional building techniques and cultural artistry of the Hoklo and Hakka peoples but also blend seamlessly with the beauty of nature to create a unique cultural landscape. Chengmei Cultural Park in Changhua is one of its classic representatives. Originally the ancestral home of the Wei brothers from the Ting Hsin International Group, Chengmei Cultural Park underwent more than 20 years of transitions before being meticulously restored by a team of Taiwan’s nationally renowned master craftsmen. It officially opened at the end of 2012 as the “Century-Old Common People's Life Museum,” bringing this century-old mansion back to its former glory.
