Located in Hongshi Xizhou Tribe, Baihe District, Tainan, this remote village usually sees few visitors—so much so that even locals from Baihe may not know of its existence. But over the past two years, it has drawn crowds thanks to its dendrobium orchid waterfalls. Every year around May, the dendrobium orchids bloom explosively, creating a spectacular scene resembling a waterfall, which has attracted large numbers of flower enthusiasts and turned this hidden village into a popular flower-viewing spot.

With only about 100 residents, Hongshi Xizhou Tribe is a typical agricultural community. Several years ago, after retiring, local resident Mr. Wu took up orchid cultivation. He introduced Dendrobium Tiankong orchids to his home and let them grow on an old longan tree. Since then, the blooming season has attracted many visitors. This year, due to weather conditions, the flowering period is slightly later than usual. The longest Dendrobium orchids reach about 180 cm, and the flowering season lasts for two to three weeks.
