Potsticker shops usually give the impression of ordinary traditional eateries or simple restaurants, winning over local taste buds with approachable cuisine. But Yi Jiu Ba Ba’s Irresistible Potstickers in Taichung stands apart from other potsticker joints, embracing a rugged concrete industrial aesthetic. The owners specially collaborated with the local design team observation design to create an entirely new dining brand. Breaking away from the stereotypical image of potsticker shops, they employed bold colors and tones, along with extensive use of metal elements paired with reclaimed wood collage walls. This approach not only exudes a strong retro vibe but also softens the coldness of the concrete surfaces and dark metal, reinterpreting traditional fare through modern architectural aesthetics to showcase a vibrant, youthful energy.
