Shin-Fu Cultural Market
Originally known as the Green町 Food Market, Shin-Fu Market opened in 1935 with a mix of Taiwanese and Japanese vendors and patrons. Designated as a municipal heritage site in 2006, its vendors gradually relocated over the years. In 2013, the Taipei City Market Administration completed its renovation, making it Taipei’s first cultural market and a popular spot for social media photos.

Shui Yuan Theater
Shui Yuan Market has long been a nostalgic spot for residents of Zhongzheng District and National Taiwan University students. To breathe new life into the old market culture, it was renovated in 2010, and renowned Israeli artist created his first large-scale public artwork in Asia here—“Heart of Shui Yuan.” Its standout feature, a gradually blue-toned geometric exterior wall, has become a hit on Instagram.
