America’s teen culinary prodigy: 17-year-old chef Flynn McGarry to guest at Regent Taipei in September

What are most 17-year-olds doing? Probably studying. But 17-year-old Flynn McGarry is already a head chef, and he’ll be guesting at Robin’s Steakhouse on the second floor of Regent Taipei from September 1 to 3. The eight-course dinner costs NT$8,800 per person (including a selection of paired wines), with a limit of 80 guests per session.

At just 17, Flynn McGarry has had a deep passion for cooking since childhood. He started experimenting with food at age 10 and taught himself, launched his private Eureka supper club at his family’s Los Angeles home at 12, serving his signature innovative dishes. By 13, he began apprenticing under several Michelin three-star chefs, and at 14, he caught the attention of the owner of the renowned BierBeisl restaurant in Beverly Hills, who invited him to operate a pop-up restaurant under the Eureka name once a month, serving his creative cuisine.
