Taiwan’s longest suspension bridge, the “Taiping Cloud Ladder,” is expected to be completed in July, enter trial operation in August, and officially open in September. The bridge in Taiping, Chiayi, spans 281 meters, making it longer than the 262-meter Shan Chuan Glass Bridge in Pingtung and the 204-meter Sky Bridge in Nantou. Once completed, it will be the longest suspension bridge in Taiwan. At an elevation of 1,000 meters, it offers sweeping views of majestic mountain landscapes, including the famed Meishan 36 Hairpin Curve.

During the August trial operation period, an advance reservation system will also be in place. After the official opening in September, ticket prices will be set at NT$150 for individual tickets and NT$120 for group tickets. Tickets during the trial period will be offered at a discounted rate compared to those after the official launch. In the future, visitors will need to make a reservation before ascending the bridge. Tickets and shuttle bus passes can be purchased at convenience stores, and vehicles must be parked in downtown Meishan with transfers via shuttle service. Detailed pricing and access regulations will be further planned and announced by the Taiping Cloud Ladder management.
