Following the introduction of fees at Hualien Taroko Qilu Ancient Trail and Taitung Forest Park starting in 2017, Yilan Dongshan River Eco-Green Boat officially began charging an on-site cleaning and maintenance fee from July 1, 2017. The fee is collected per entry between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, at a rate of NT$30 per person.

Since its official opening on April 22, 2015, Yilan Dongshan River Eco-Green Boat has gained popularity among many visitors, attracting over 680,000 visitors cumulatively. In 2017, in addition to hosting the Green Expo, the park’s unique feature—a national railway bridge running through the grounds—has also become a major attraction. The park is home to diverse natural ecosystems, including birds, fish, insects, frogs, reptiles, and mammals. Activities such as fishing, swimming, playing in the water, crossing the railway tracks, picking plants, bird-netting, fishing, and releasing animals are all prohibited within the park.

After confirming the implementation of fees starting July 1, 2017, residents of Yilan County, children under 115 cm in height, or those under 6 years old are exempt from charges. Individuals presenting a disability card and one accompanying person are also exempt. The park is non-smoking, and the release of balloons or kites is prohibited, as is the operation of drones or unmanned aerial vehicles—these rules must also be observed.
