The Kinmen mascot otter made a surprise appearance this morning (17th) at Songshan Airport, drawing excited crowds eager for photos. This is part of a special surprise event organized by Mandarin Airlines to celebrate its 25th anniversary. Staff specially wore an otter costume provided by the Kinmen County Government. Passengers can receive a mysterious little gift simply by taking a photo with the otter mascot and downloading the Mandarin Airlines mobile app.

Mandarin Airlines operates E190 jet flights to Kinmen, with seven daily direct flights from Taipei and Taichung to Kinmen. Mandarin Airlines noted that passengers can download the Mandarin Airlines app to book and purchase tickets in under a minute, making domestic routes or the Kinmen-Xiamen "mini three links" trips spontaneous and convenient.
The otter is the representative mascot of Kinmen County and also the globally cherished wildlife species Eurasian otter (Lutra). Otters can be spotted across Kinmen’s fields, streams, lakes, and even by the roadside.
