In early June, the owl that was originally on the salt mountain “flew down” and was relocated to the flat ground within the Qigu Salt Mountain park area. With trees in the background, the scene feels especially lively and charming. The owl’s eyes are equipped with solar-powered LED lights, which glow brightly at night, making it appear particularly spirited — a detail that has also become a hot topic online.

In July, major events such as the “One Sight, Two Sculptures Art Festival” and the “Tainan Qigu Seafood Festival” take place around Qigu Salt Mountain, making it a lively summer destination. Aside from visiting the owl and admiring the beautiful salt mountain, nearby attractions such as the Taiwan Salt Museum and Qigu Visitor Center are also great places to explore.
