With the peak summer consumption season in full swing, many department stores have introduced numerous popular dessert brands to set up pop-up counters. Some even incorporate the currently trending "despair" meme-inspired lifestyle themes, showcasing creativity in beverages and refreshing frozen treats to offer visitors the most healing summer experience.

From July 7 to August 23, Taipei Main Station Fashion Plaza will exclusively launch a themed café on B3 in collaboration with Otaru Coffee and a well-known illustrator. The café will feature popular online illustration characters such as "Uncle Rice Grain," "Corgi i*i*," and "Resigned Bear," using coffee to express young people’s sense of despair about life.

To welcome the summer vacation, Global Mall Banqiao has also introduced multiple pop-up counters in the B1 corridor, including Hoshino Dorayaki and Douxiangjia on July 15, and the Glico Store pop-up from July 16 to August 14, which will offer seasonal flavors such as sakura and mentaiko, as well as the trendy Japanese adult-style "milk chocolate mille-feuille flavor." Additionally, starting August 15, the viral Korean ice cream popcorn Sweet Monster from Instagram will join the pop-up lineup.

Before the end of July, Takashimaya Department Store in Greater Taichung will introduce a pop-up shop for Belgium’s popular "Line Up Cake" on B1, featuring a variety of creative-flavored cakes, including one made with Twining Earl Grey tea-infused fresh cheese, topped with a handcrafted signature blueberry compote.
