But at this Southern Red Bean Pastry shop in Tainan, they’ve taken it a step further. Using beverages like milk tea and fruit tea, they’ve created a creative shareable bottle dubbed the “Best Friend” Yin-Yang Bottle, carving out their own unique path in Tainan, the beverage capital.

Southern Red Bean Pastryis originally a creative red bean pastry shop that only started selling best friend drinks after summer began. The owner explained that the name “Best Friend” was chosen in the hope that whether you’re close friends, siblings, or even couples, you can each enjoy one side while keeping your bond strong and growing sweeter with every sip. Currently, the shop offers three types of best friend drinks, allbased on classic milk tea, paired with three other drinks: fruit tea, honey apple cider, and winter melon lemon.They aim to bring both visual and taste bud surprises to customers. Additionally, the shop also offers an exclusive vinegar drink called “Best Friends Love Vinegar,” available in varieties such as apple cider vinegar, mulberry vinegar, and peach vinegar for customers to choose from, adding a fun twist to their drink experience!

The best friend drinks are sold in limited quantities because they’re made using Taiwan No. 8 Tea as the base, with no added artificial flavorings. Due to strict control over temperature and timing, mass production isn’t possible.
