Following the wave of excitement sparked by the arrival of Japan’s famous Ichiran Ramen in Taiwan, the world’s first Michelin One-Star legendary ramen — “Morizumi Ramen by Morizumi Yasuji” — has now landed at Taipei East District’s SOGO Zhongxiao Store！

Dubbed the “Ichiro Suzuki of the Japanese ramen world,” ramen chef Morizumi Yasuji is a Michelin-starred chef with great charm and a dashing uncle-like appeal. He is also the world’s first Japanese ramen chef to earn a Michelin star, boasting a huge fan base in Japan and known for his refined and delicious culinary style.

Morizumi Ramen’s first Taiwan outlet opened on July 26, featuring three types of broth: soy sauce, plum salt, and spicy miso. The noodles are made from domestic Japanese wheat and Australian wheat, with the kansui (alkaline water) imported from Hokkaido, Japan, to preserve the chef’s original recipe and deliver an authentic taste in Taiwan.

The ramen at Morizumi Ramen by Morizumi Yasuji starts at NT$230 per bowl. The store is located in the B1 Food Court of Pacific SOGO Department Store Zhongxiao Branch, with a daily limit of 400 bowls. Ramen lovers looking to try a Michelin-starred bowl shouldn’t miss out.
