The Ocean Culture & Pop Music Center at Piers 13 to 15 of Kaohsiung Harbor’s True Love Pier was recently completed. Its pure white exterior resembles a little white whale perched on the pier. The fish-shaped, streamlined architectural design paired with the texture of exposed concrete has won widespread acclaim online. Additionally, the walls feature three-dimensional numerical codes. With its stunning aesthetics and beautiful harbor views, this spot has quickly become a popular new destination for photos.

The Kaohsiung Harbor Sea Music Center, spanning Piers 11 to 15, covers an area of approximately 11.89 hectares. Its main facilities include an outdoor performance venue that can accommodate 12,000 spectators, a large indoor performance hall with 6,800 seats, six smaller performance spaces with capacities ranging from 200 to 1,000 seats, a pop music exhibition hall, an ocean culture exhibition center, a ferry pier, a waterfront park, a bike path, and a cultural creative market.

Located at the mouth of the Love River, True Love Pier is renowned for its twin snow-white sail-shaped structures, integrated with floral art designs. From here, you can take in the urban skyline of Kaohsiung’s high-rise buildings, gaze at the maritime beauty of Kaohsiung Harbor, and marvel at the impressive sight of large ships entering the port. With the recent opening of the light rail station, this area is arguably Taiwan’s most beautiful urban waterfront.
