1.Tada Eikichi’s Former Residence

Tada Eikichi’s Former Residence is located on the mountainside of Pu Ding, facing south with its back to the hill and fronted by a steep retaining wall. Perched high above, it offers a view of the beautiful Tamsui River and Guanyin Mountain. The residence, built with hinoki wood, retains its historic features such as the rain-shedding wooden siding on the exterior walls, black tiles on the roof, and the flat bamboo-strip ceiling inside. As one of the earlier residences in the Tamsui area influenced by Japanese architecture, it is now a municipal historical site of New Taipei City.

2.Little White House

The Little White House is the former official residence of the Tamsui Customs Tax Officer. With a history of over a hundred years, its name comes from its striking white Western-style exterior. When visiting the Little White House, don’t miss the neatly arranged “semicircular archways.” When sunlight shines through, the white building appears even more pristine and elegant. This minimalist Spanish-style chalky corridor architecture is a favorite among photographers and a top choice for wedding photo shoots. The building, with its white base and orange roof, shines brilliantly against the blue sky, and the arched corridor design adds a touch of romance.
