A new hotel has just opened in Tokyo！ "One@Tokyo," designed both externally and internally by renowned architect Kengo Kuma, officially launched on July 28 in the historic Sumida ward neighborhood of Oshiage. The hotel combines elements of nature and industrial style, skillfully showcasing the contrast between a quaint old district and the modern metropolis. Simply draw back the curtains to enjoy day and night views of the Tokyo Skytree, while the rooftop terrace offers a magical view of the illuminated Skytree at night—letting you experience the charm of this new district.

Every project by Japanese master architect Kengo Kuma attracts attention, including Japan’s most beautiful Starbucks, “Starbucks Dazaifu,” and the overseas branch of “Hokkaido Milk Bread Pudding” (微热山丘) in Tokyo’s Aoyama district. Using wooden materials in a plug-in wood style, the designs are not only elegant but also carry a natural vibe. This same style is applied in the design of “One@Tokyo,” making it more than just a place for photos and check-ins—you can actually stay there.

The hotel offers a variety of room types, each designed with different concepts to cater to guests with diverse personalities and preferences—such as those who love reading or business travelers who value functionality.

In addition, One@Tokyo has enhanced its digital services. Aside from complimentary WiFi, rooms also come with a portable smartphone device called “Handy,” which offers a wide range of Tokyo travel information. It also allows guests to make calls, and comes preloaded with the hotel’s phone number—so international travelers don’t have to worry about staying in touch with the hotel.
