In the movie *Life of Pi*, you can enjoy many stunning seascapes and special effects that are truly incredible. Penghu offers Taiwan’s first-ever nighttime fluorescent SUP (stand-up paddleboarding), gently floating on the tranquil Penghu Bay under the moonlight. When the fluorescent SUP turns on its bright underwater lights, you can see fish swimming closer, transforming the sea into a beautiful canvas — as if you’ve stepped into a scene from *Life of Pi*. It’s a truly rare nighttime cruising experience.

The fluorescent SUP is the brainchild of the owner of “Floating Denainai SUP Surf Shop,” inspired by the fluorescent SUP experiences he saw abroad. He then worked with manufacturers to develop the board, installing color-changing LED tubes that change the color of the water as you paddle. During the summer, it attracts many tourists eager to try it out.
