Commune A7 Container Market Gets an Upgrade: Enjoy Food on a Huge White Sand Beach

Since its opening in mid-December last year, Commune A7 — which successfully sparked a nationwide container market trend across Taiwan — is undergoing its most significant revamp this August. In addition to reorganizing the lineup of participating merchants and the flow of foot traffic, the most eye-catching and intriguing feature is the creation of a full expanse of snow-white sandy beach within the 400-ping activity space, crafting a surreal summer beach vacation atmosphere right in the midst of the concrete jungle.

Initially launched with a focus on international cuisine, Commune A7 has been committed to making this venue a must-visit attraction for international travelers coming to Taipei, while also promoting local Taiwanese culinary culture. The 2.0 version of Commune A7 has invited several iconic Taiwanese dining brands to join. For instance, the century-old renowned eatery “Tou Xiao Yue,” making its first appearance at a container market, is a delightful new addition. The rugged container structure has been transformed into an antique-style building, offering signature snacks like danzai noodles and golden shrimp rolls in a uniquely charming setting.

To better meet the needs of visitors, Commune A7 2.0 has extended its operating hours to midnight or 1 AM, uniting all participating vendors to create a late-night food hub in Xinyi District. This allows residents who previously had few late-night snack options to enjoy 25 varieties of Taiwanese and international food and drinks well into the night.
