Guandu also has a flower sea? It’s surprising to hear that there’s a vast expanse of blossoms in Guandu, northern Taiwan, making one wonder what kind of beautiful blooms will form this stunning sea of flowers. The Guandu Flower Sea Festival is a half-year-long floral extravaganza, starting from August 25, 2017, and running until February 28, 2018. Five spectacular types of flowers will take turns blooming across the flower fields. Flower sea enthusiasts no longer need to travel to central or southern Taiwan — you can capture gorgeous floral photos right here in the north.

In addition, in conjunction with the Universiade, the Guandu Flower Sea has set up 22 sports-themed Bear Joy (Xiong Zan) cutouts throughout the park. Aside from being cute and lively, they serve as fun photo spots for visitors. Each Bear Joy features a QR code; simply scan it to instantly access the schedule and detailed information about that particular sport. With 12 hectares of flower fields, playful Bear Joys pop up everywhere, ensuring visitors have a great time and can even bring kids to take pictures with these adorable bears.

Additionally, the Guandu Flower Sea Festival introduces the “Limited Edition Flower Sea Bear Joy Frame Activity.” During the event period, pick up an ultra-cute, flower sea-exclusive Bear Joy photo frame from the check-in station service desk, snap a photo with it, upload it to Facebook, and you can receive one of the limited 200 exquisite mini potted plant sets.
