Located in Fengshan District, Kaohsiung, “Dadong Wetlands Park” features lush woods, clear lakes, and small fish swimming freely along with charming waterfalls. Its tranquil atmosphere has earned it the nickname “Kaohsiung’s Forest of Forgetfulness,” making it a favorite spot for photos. However, the wooden boardwalks over the wetlands have deteriorated severely. Although the Fengshan Maintenance Engineering Team has begun repairs, the area will remain closed to ensure public safety even after restoration.

Covering approximately 9 hectares, Dadong Wetlands Park was transformed into a beautiful wetland park through years of greening efforts by the Kaohsiung City Government. However, recent inspections found multiple damaged and decaying sections of the wooden boardwalks. A moment of carelessness could lead to falling into the water. The Fengshan Maintenance Engineering Team has now started large-scale repairs, which are expected to take about one to two months to complete.
