Summer vacation is just around the corner. Looking for something fun to do? Why not hop on a mini train that both kids and adults love, enjoy the cool breeze and take in the scenery — it’s incredibly refreshing. ETtoday EBC has specially rounded up three regularly operating passenger mini train attractions across Taiwan. This summer, let’s chase the wind together！

Fushun Farm — Sanzhi Mini Train Operation Field

Located in Sanzhi, New Taipei City, Fushun Farm is famous for its passenger mini train with a 500-meter track. It features mini trains modeled after high-speed rail and Taiwan Railways, enjoyable for both adults and children. Currently, there are three routes in the park. You can choose the half-course ride for 7 minutes (covering two routes) or the full course for 17–18 minutes (covering all three routes). Originally, a fourth route, “Alishan Zigzag Railway,” was planned for the end of the year, but the tracks have been relocated to HowStay Ximending Taipei for use. Fans looking forward to the fourth route may have to wait until next year.

HowStay Ximending Taipei

HowStay Ximending Taipei invested over NT$1 million and recently launched a 250-meter passenger mini train. Show your restaurant receipt for one free ride; hotel guests can ride for free. The mini train and track were made by Mr. Lee Bing-rong, owner of Fushun Farm, and can support loads of up to 3 metric tons. The opening day attracted many families.

Pier-2 Art Center “Harmen Pier-2 Line Mini Train”

To help the public learn about Harmen’s century-old railway history, Kaohsiung’s Pier-2 Art Center created Taiwan’s first one-kilometer, 5-inch gauge railway inside the Penglai B8 warehouse, and set up a mini electric train and a mini steam train for visitors to ride. The approximately 10-minute ride takes you through the Pier-2 Art Center, allowing you to enjoy the beauty of the park.
