Big kids and little kids playing together: A lazy guide to Taiwan’s Lunar New Year theme park deals

With a six-day holiday for the Lunar New Year, in addition to spending time with family, many people also take the opportunity to bring their kids to amusement parks. Many theme parks are offering special promotions, allowing both adults and children to enjoy the fun together. ETtoday Eastday News Cloud has compiled a list of major theme park promotions across Taiwan for your reference.

Six Flags Theme Park
From January 28 to February 1 during the Spring Festival, children under 12 enter free.

Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village
Although there are no special discounts, starting January 26, Ultraman heroes make a strong appearance, with a battle between 7-meter-tall Zero and Belial taking place at the Cultural Plaza — a brand-new attraction.

Miniature World Theme Park
During the 2017 Lunar New Year, children under 6 enter free. Starting January 28, discounted ticket price for those 6 and older is NT$499.

Janfusun Fancyworld
Theme park tickets for just NT$899 + NT$1 get you 2 admission tickets (original price NT$1,798).

Lihpao Land
From January 28 to February 1 (from Lunar New Year’s Day to the Fifth Day), children under 10 enter free (each must be accompanied by one full-price ticket holder purchasing on-site for NT$650). Couple afternoon tickets are NT$799 (enter after 2 PM, must enter together). Couple moonlight tickets are NT$299 (enter after 5 PM, must enter together). The first 106 visitors each day receive a festive red envelope (limited quantity, while supplies last!).

Doraemon Science Theme Park
From January 21 to February 1, tickets for all ages are just NT$299. From January 28 to February 1, in conjunction with the Tourism Bureau’s “Spend NT$168 to Win a Golden Rooster” campaign, Doraemon is adding the “Golden Ingot Giveaway Every Day,” a spin-to-win lucky draw with exquisite gifts for you to win.

Baiguo Mountain Exploration Park
From Saturday, January 28 (Lunar New Year’s Day) to Wednesday, February 1 (Fifth Day), come to the park for daily big prize draws. This is Taiwan’s first-ever primeval forest dinosaur park, featuring an 8,000-ping dinosaur zone with 40 large, lifelike animatronic dinosaurs roaming among the trees.

Atayal Resort
Spring Festival promotional ticket price is NT$299 (all-you-can-play rides, includes hot spring, original price NT$450 per person).
