A beautiful and romantic day, the historic Hudoupi Scenic Area, once home to a Shinto shrine, has been where countless couples pledged their lifelong love. Beside the lake, the Couple Trees have a long-standing legend of enduring romance. These two embracing Couple Trees resemble a devoted husband and wife supporting each other.

To celebrate the romantic Qixi Festival, Hudoupi specially held the “Romantic Tour of Hudoupi” event on the Sunday before Qixi, August 27, 2017. The first dock extended its operating hours until 9 PM to offer visitors a romantic nighttime pedal boat experience. Starting at 9 AM on the day of the event, couples dressed in couple outfits who hugged and took photos in front of the Couple Trees and uploaded them to Facebook would receive one set of a Love Amulet Incense Bag and a Happiness Keychain (limited to 50 sets, while supplies last). Additionally, from August 27 to 28, those presenting a couple hug photo could enjoy a 40% discount on pedal boat rides.
