Lively and bustling Ximending is a favorite spot for many young people to visit and shop. It’s not only popular among locals in Taiwan but also loved by international tourists who come here to experience Taiwanese culture. But what’s little known is that hidden within this lively area, tucked away in the alleys of Hankou Street, there is a highly tasteful light meal and coffee shop called RKZ Café.

As soon as you arrive at the entrance of RKZ Café, the strong retro industrial style hits you. Visitors are deeply attracted by this simple and distinctive decor. Every element of the interior — from furnishings to decorations and details — creates a comfortable atmosphere, almost like a journey through time that brings a sense of peace and relaxation. It feels like you could sit with friends, enjoy a meal, and talk openly all night long.

The most special feature of RKZ Café is its completely reservation-only policy. All ingredients needed for reservations are purchased in the morning. This ensures that guests enjoy the freshest dishes while also allowing the café to accurately prepare the right quantities. Many menu items that do not appear on the regular list are part of the “no-menu meals” announced separately on the official Facebook fan page. Without a reservation, there may not be enough ingredients to prepare these dishes, and you might miss out on the most unique flavors.
