Located in DiverCity Tokyo Plaza in Odaiba, Tokyo, the 1:1 life-sized Gundam has drawn attention from all over and become a popular attraction in the city. After the original Gundam was retired this spring, the new “RX-0 Unicorn Gundam” is set to take its place on September 24, sparking fresh discussion and excitement.

Standing 19.7 meters tall, the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam features approximately 50 illuminated parts, creating an even more dazzling effect than the original Gundam. In addition, a spectacular transformation show is staged every 30 minutes in the evening.

To coincide with the arrival of the new RX-0 Unicorn Gundam, BANDAI has also launched the brand-new “THE GUNDAM BASE TOKYO” exhibition hall, which officially opened on August 19. With the theme “Let’s build GUNPLA together!” the new venue offers over 2,000 types of merchandise. Highlights include a “Build Area” where visitors can assemble their newly purchased items right away, a “Factory Area” that showcases the process of making plastic models, and an “Event Area” that hosts activities and sells exclusive goods.
