Viewing maple leaves in Japan is one of the most important travel activities of the year. Strolling amidst the red foliage feels like stepping into a romantic movie scene. Although the Japan Meteorological Agency's maple leaf frontline forecast is usually released in October each year, there are already predictions based on last year’s frontline and this year’s climate to estimate the autumn foliage conditions.
