Every autumn, viewing maple leaves becomes one of the hottest travel topics. Besides Japan, South Korea also boasts stunning fall foliage, with many famous scenic spots. Strolling along paths covered in red leaves, enhanced by the allure of Korean dramas, the romantic atmosphere is no less captivating than in Japan. Below is the 2017 South Korea autumn foliage forecast schedule. Due to potentially higher temperatures from September to October this year, the foliage season is expected to be about 1 to 3 days later than usual.

This year’s foliage season is similar to last year’s, with Seoraksan being the earliest to start, expected to turn red on September 27, reaching peak color in mid-October; Naejangsan will begin on October 20, peaking around November 8; Hallasan on Jeju Island will turn red on October 17, with its peak around the end of October.
