Zhèngbīn Fishing Port was once the largest port in Taiwan during the Japanese colonial period and played a major role in the early prosperity of Keelung’s fishing industry. With the construction of other ports, Zhèngbīn no longer sees the bustling activity of fishing boats of all sizes as it once did. In recent years, the government has actively transformed the fishing port into a leisure and nostalgia-focused tourist dock, reviving the harbor’s former vibrancy in new ways.
