A 4-meter-tall giraffe appears in downtown area – a new photo spot for animal art

Located in the bustling urban district, surprisingly, many forest-themed animals have emerged, and even a 4-meter-tall giraffe stands leisurely inside and outside the department store, which is quite astonishing. This is the animal world created by Taiwanese linear sculpture artist N? Sheng, using lines to interpret nature and weaving a colorful natural landscape in the city. In shopping malls, streets, and alleys, one can see these charming creatures.

Following the previous wave of giant popsicle and other fruit-themed installation art, this autumn spatial exhibition focuses on a forest-themed animal world, connecting Shin Kong Mitsukoshi department stores in northern, central, and southern Taiwan, giving visitors the feeling of being in an urban jungle.

The animal world was created by linear artists from "Linear House" in Tainan’s Blue Print. Using over 2.5 tons of iron materials, they crafted 19 pieces including giraffes, ostriches, turtles, sika deer, antelopes, penguins, and sea lions. The most eye-catching are the 400-centimeter-tall giraffe and the 250-jin (125 kg) musk ox. Despite their large size, they exude an adorable charm.
