Nestled in the alleys of Da’an, Revel’s new American-style restaurant has a rather discreet exterior. But once you walk up to the second floor, you’ll find a hidden gem inside. The place not only serves incredibly delicious meals but also offers cold-pressed juices and individually sold dried fruits, with a wide variety to choose from. Recently, Lara Liang was interviewed by ETtoday Eats Power and publicly stated that this is her favorite spot. She also introduced several of the restaurant’s signature dishes to the audience.

Cool Cranberry Delight

The cranberries are first frozen and then blended into juice, paired with a mint milk popsicle. Whether you enjoy the popsicle alone, the drink on its own, or both together, each way offers a unique flavor. The shop also offers an add-on service for the popsicle at an extra NT$50, giving ice cream lovers more flavor options.

Hawaiian Orange Cold-Pressed Juice
This cold-pressed juice is made with 100% fresh juice. The base includes passion fruit, guava, and orange. The guava is mixed with wild beetroot juice, while the orange is combined with butterfly pea flower juice, resulting in a gradient effect that looks absolutely dreamy. The shop says this drink was actually very popular in the 1970s and is a famous national beverage in Hawaii.

Wild Berry Dried Fruit Roselle Tea

This drink is quite healthy, based on a roselle tea bag. The wild berry dried fruit is homemade by the shop and includes various other dried fruits such as strawberry, dragon fruit, and kiwi. The color is dominated by the vibrant dragon fruit. Typically, drying these fruits alone takes about 16–22 hours, and producing a batch takes 24 hours—the craftsmanship is quite intricate.

Super Cheesy Meat Pasta

Moving on to the main courses, the Super Cheesy Meat Pasta is a fun and highly popular dish. Its biggest highlight is the generous amount of cheese. The shop explains that the ratio of pork, cheese, and pasta is 1:1:1, making the ingredients very hearty. The taste is incredibly rich, and since it’s a more American-style pasta, the texture of the noodles is softer and more tender.

Japanese-Style Fried Chicken Rice

This Japanese-inspired fried chicken rice features a marinade made from scallions, ginger, garlic, water, and olive oil. The chicken thighs are marinated for over 12 hours. You can see mayonnaise on top of the fried chicken, and the pickled vegetables are made with radish and plum sauce, offering a fragrant taste and vibrant color.

Egg Waffle Sundae

Egg waffles became a retro dessert trend last year (2016). At that time, the shop thought, if they were going to offer this dessert, they wanted to do it differently, so they started with the shape. Eventually, they developed three types of desserts: the sweet potato-flavored Egg Waffle Sundae Sandwich, the matcha-flavored Matcha Garden Egg Waffle, and the peanut-flavored Egg Waffle Sundae. The ice cream flavors are all pre-set and cannot be changed.

Chiffon Cake Fruit Party

This is a dessert that Revel launched quite early. The shop says the dried fruits, now considered a signature item, were initially just decorations. But after many customers kept asking about them, they became standalone products. They discussed how to better highlight the features of the dried fruits and ultimately decided to pair them with custard and chiffon cake to create this dish, making the fruit flavors even more special.
