Aside from its well-known fishing port, ocean scenery, and Miaokou Night Market, Keelung actually also boasts beautiful lakes hidden among its mountain ranges. Located on Da Wu Mountain, Lover’s Lake Park has recently become a popular new dating spot. Known as Keelung’s back garden, it is a Y-shaped highland lake formed by the convergence of six mountain streams. Here, visitors can not only admire the stunning lakeside views, but also cross the narrow Lover’s Suspension Bridge, and snap photos at the European-style castle observation deck and windmill.

The park features facilities such as an observation pavilion, Lover’s Suspension Bridge, scenic waterfront platform, windmill, and mountain and lakeside walking trails. Lush trees line the paths, while various plants showcase seasonal beauty. Enjoying a forest bath in the phytoncide-rich air, visitors can also take in the scenic views of the lake and mountains along the way — a truly poetic experience.

Lover’s Lake is the only highland lake in Keelung. Though not very expansive, its scenery is delicate and beautiful. With dense nearby woods and emerald-green waters, it offers a pleasant atmosphere that’s perfect for visitors to go for a spring outing and experience a different side of Keelung’s charm.
