Aside from enjoying the romantic autumn leaves, Seoul’s annual Purple Miscanthus Festival is also a floral spectacle you shouldn’t miss. The 16th Seoul Purple Miscanthus Festival will take place from Friday, October 13 to Thursday, October 19, at Sky Park within World Cup Park. This year’s festival also features light installations in the miscanthus fields, using vibrant illumination to create beautiful sights such as a galaxy tunnel.

During the Purple Miscanthus Festival, visitors to Sky Park can enjoy the boundless sea of miscanthus grass. By day, they can admire the spectacular silver-white waves of flowers, and by night, they can revel in the colorful illuminated fields, all while taking in the Seoul nightlife. Additionally, there are hands-on experiences such as creative crafting with natural materials and shuttlecock kicking, as well as cultural events like concerts and film screenings. During the festival period, Sky Park will extend its opening hours until 10 PM.
