Each year from October to November, the Sun Moon Lake Fireworks Music Carnival is an unmissable major annual event for autumn visits to Sun Moon Lake. It fuses culture with tourism, providing a travel experience that includes both “arts and culture” and “sports and leisure.” The “2017 Sun Moon Lake Come！Bikeday Fireworks Music Carnival” kicked off with great fanfare from October 13 to November 12. The event features a rich variety of activities, including three fireworks music concerts, three sports competitions, and two industry cultural events.

This year, for the first time, a mountainous cycling challenge route has been launched from Sun Moon Lake to Yushan’s Tatachia, Taiwan’s highest mountain. The full course spans approximately 80 kilometers with a total elevation gain of about 2,562.81 meters, perfect for cyclists who enjoy challenging climbs. There are also orienteering and marathon activities that are fun for all ages.
