Asia’s leading low-cost airline brand, AirAsia, has announced the strong comeback of AirAsia Japan (Air Asia Japan)! Since announcing its establishment, on October 16, AirAsia Japan declared October 29 as its official launch date. Tony Fernandes, Group Chief Executive Officer of the AirAsia Group, said that returning to the Japanese market is an exciting development, the process was not easy at all, and he expressed heartfelt thanks to partners Rakuten, Noevir, and Alpen for their support and patience.

To celebrate the official launch of AirAsia Japan, tickets will be available for sale from 00:01 Japan Time on October 17, 2017, to 23:59 on October 22, 2017, for flights from October 29, 2017, to March 24, 2018. The lowest one-way fare starts from just 5 yen (excluding tax). AirAsia Japan is a joint venture established by AirAsia, Rakuten Inc, Noevir Holdings Co Ltd, and Alpen Co Ltd. The airline operates two A320-200 aircraft from its hub at Chubu Centrair International Airport in Nagoya.
