The 2017 Tainan Food Festival combined the popular real-life mystery game "Reasoning After the Meal," which kicked off grandly at 10 a.m. on October 21st at the Tainan Cultural and Creative Park. It attracted over two hundred food detectives from various places to Tainan to uncover the secrets of delicious cuisine and embark on an in-depth culinary culture journey. On the first day of the event, several groups of participants successfully completed the challenge and won a variety of major prizes.

The real-life game "Reasoning After the Meal" this year focused on "Market Cuisine." Participants had to use the clues provided to deduce answers and actually visit markets and related food shops to crack the final mystery. The real-life game draws inspiration from the characteristics and historical development of Tainan’s local cuisine, allowing players not only to taste the food but also to learn about the food culture behind each dish through the gaming experience. In addition to enjoying food while playing and adding fun to the game, participants could also take photos for social media, ensuring that all attendees had a fantastic time.

This year marks the seventh edition of the Tainan Food Festival, and the real-life game is in its second year.
