1. Haochu Breakfast
Founded near Jiangzicui Metro Station, “Haochu Breakfast” is an extremely popular breakfast spot in Banqiao. Not only is it known for its affordable prices, but the meals are also quite delicious. Ever since it opened, there have often been long lines and it’s hard to get a seat. The “Boyfriend Salad” is especially popular and a must-order — it’s said to be so good you’ll forget who your boyfriend is. A second branch was later opened near Banqiao Metro Station.

2. Huangshi]?∩?傣嫌慵/strong>
Located on Gongkou Street in Banqiao at Huangshi Market, Gaoji Stir-Fried Squid is a classic delicacy cherished by locals. Each bowl is heaping full, with tender, Q-textured squid chunks. Additionally, the freshly fried radish cake and sticky rice sausage are must-try snacks. It’s a time-honored shop that has been around for over 30 years.

3. Te Xiang Zhai Western Restaurant

Te Xiang Zhai is New Taipei City’s first steak and Western restaurant. As legendary as Taipei’s Dadaocheng’s Borilo Western Restaurant, it’s an iconic taste and a nostalgic spot for many Banqiao residents. The classic steak uses top-quality meat, cooked with the latest high-temperature rotary grilling method to lock in the natural juices of the beef — its flavor is truly indescribable.
