Postcard-worthy scenery awaits on these five hidden trails in Alishan

The Dingshizhuo Trail Cluster is located near Shizhuo along the Alishan Highway. The Alishan National Forest Recreation Area Administration has renovated and extended existing trails to launch five new routes: Mist Trail, Tea Trail, Cloud Trail, Sunset Glow Trail, and Cherry Blossom Trail. Together with connecting forest roads, the total distance is about 5 kilometers, with an elevation ranging from 1,370 to 1,699 meters. The hike takes approximately two hours.

In addition to admiring the beauty of tea plantations, the Dingshizhuo Trail Cluster is a must-visit hidden gem along the Alishan Highway. Each of the five trails has its own unique charm, offering views of misty landscapes, cloudscapes, sunset glows, tea gardens, cedar forests, and bamboo groves. Walking through the bamboo woods gives hikers the illusion of being in Arashiyama, Kyoto, leaving many climbers in awe.
