Looking at the overall rankings, influenced by the rise of low-cost carriers and the Japanese yen continuing to hit new lows, Taiwan’s favorite Japan has taken the top five spots on the list. Osaka, famous for its cuisine and well-developed commercial districts, has even claimed the top spot as the most loved shopping city by Taiwanese travelers. Fukuoka, known for its delicious ramen, Okinawa, the closest to Taiwan, Sapporo, rich in natural and artistic features, and Nagoya, home to famous castle attractions, took the 2nd to 5th spots respectively. In addition, K-fashion hubs Seoul and Busan in South Korea also made the list, showing how much Taiwanese people love Japanese and Korean culture.
