2.Xiaopan Pineapple Cake
The low-profile but famous Xiaopan shop, hidden in Banqiao alleys, sells very traditional and common bread and pastries. During holidays, you absolutely can’t get any without queuing for three to five hours. Sometimes, when online orders spike, they only offer pickup — no walk-in sales.

3.Li Ji Pineapple Cake
The pineapple cake from Li Ji, a long-established pastry shop in Taipei, uses locally selected pineapples. It has moderate sweetness, a smooth taste without being greasy, and the buttery aroma released from its flaky crust is simply irresistible. It’s also one of the top choices for holiday gifts.

4.Wei Re Shan Qiu Pineapple Cake
Originating from Bagua Mountain in Nantou, Wei Re Shan Qiu uses locally abundant local pineapples to make pineapple cakes with varying levels of sweet and sour flavors. With thin crusts and rich, fragrant milk shortbread, the slightly tangy taste is not cloying. Many Taiwanese give these to foreigners, and the brand has even opened many overseas branches.
